From 6 students in the Biomedical Engineering Program at Cornell University traveling abroad to Arusha, Tanzania in the Summer of 2019 to 6 students from Arusha Technical College traveling to Cornell University in Ithaca, New York in the Fall Semester of 2019, this cross-collaboration resulted in new friendships, experiences, and observed medical challenges. Through a year long senior design effort for the Cornell Students, they have gone far in terms of the initial ideation phase, to the manufacturing and design phase to produce a cost-effective, accurate cervical insufficiency diagnostic device. Join them as they take us through their ideation and creation phases of their project!
